Recently I was reviewing my monthly report for one of my Google Ads clients, and discovered that for leads that were coming in from people filling out a form, very few were from mobile phones. Since approximately half of all visitors are from mobile phones, this was a red flag.
All my landing pages display correctly on mobile phones, but obviously they weren’t converting well with this campaign.
So I looked for recommendations online on what landing pages for mobile should look like, created a landing page using that information, and then set up a separate campaign targeting only mobile users.
The result was that the total leads for this client doubled for the month, from 42 to 84. The new mobile campaign created 23 leads from people filling out forms.
So what should be on a landing page for mobile?
- Logo and phone at the top
- Headline
- Google Business Profile and Yelp ratings
- Tap to call button
- Button “Or Message Us Instead” linking to form below
- Large background image behind all of the above items
- “Why Choose (company)” section with text and bullets
- Three client testimonials
- Response form
- Another tap to call button at the bottom
