Today, thousands of small businesses still do not use promotional video. Faceless video is an excellent way for them to get started.

Faceless video is defined as any video that delivers its message without showing a person’s face on camera. Instead, these videos use a mix of visuals and sound to communicate. Common elements include:

  • Animations and motion graphics to explain concepts
  • Stock footage and b-roll clips to illustrate ideas
  • Screen recordings for software demos or tutorials
  • Slideshows with text and images
  • Voiceovers or text-to-speech narration
  • AI-generated avatars

Real Web Marketing has produced a ton of this type of video, most often by producing a voiceover and then using mostly stock video footage to illustrate what the voiceover is talking about. You can see many examples on our YouTube channel and video portfolio.

The voiceover can be made using a stock AI voice, or make an AI clone of the voice of the owner or spokesman for the company.

The advantages of this type of video are:

  • Generally less expensive to make than shooting live video
  • Minimal time involvement for company owners or executives
  • Much faster to produce – don’t have to set up lighting, have some kind of studio setup, memorize a script, apply makeup, or do multiple takes because you made a mistake.
  • Easier to create consistently, due to lower cost and faster production
  • More comfortable for camera-shy owners
  • Focus stays on the message – rather than watching a person speak, viewers see before and after photos, project footage, animations, charts, jobsite footage, drone footage, etc.

Faceless videos work especially well for:

  • Educational videos
  • FAQ videos
  • How-to guides
  • Industry tips
  • Product demonstrations
  • Software tutorials
  • Customer success stories
  • Case studies
  • Construction project showcases
