Videos are a powerful way to market your business.
This is from WebFX.com:
“Let’s start by looking at 16 statistics that explore the impact of video content on the Internet. This isn’t limited to marketing videos, specifically, but applies to videos of all shapes and sizes.

- “Over 1 billion hours of video content are watched on YouTube each day.
- “More than 92% of all Internet users across the world watch videos online every week.
- “On average, people watch 17 hours’ worth of video content every week.
- “More than 90% of consumers between the ages 12 and 44 qualify as digital video viewers.
- “There are more than 244 million online video viewers in the United States.

- “92% of the people who view videos on mobile devices will end up sharing videos with others.
- “75% of users prefer watching videos in a horizontal format, compared to only 25% who prefer a vertical format.
- “80% of users will click away from a video if it starts to buffer or load slowly.

So I think it’s clear that adding video to your web site, your YouTube channel, and into your marketing campaigns is a positive thing.
The cost to produce a video varies a great deal depending on how you produce it and how long it is. But price tags of $5,000 to $20,000 for producing a high quality video can scare away many small to medium business owners.
There is a way to produce videos that is more affordable, and most business people are probably not aware of it. That is:
- No live video footage is shot of the company, its location or its staff.
- A script is written and a voiceover is recorded, or a voiceover is created using an AI voice or AI clone, for example a voice clone of a company owner, executive or spokesperson. This technology is very good today.
- Stock video clips and still graphics are used to illustrate what the voiceover is talking about. There are a number of companies today providing stock video clips and the libraries are extensive and very high quality. I use an excellent library called Storyblocks.com.
- Usually one adds a music track that is quiet behind the voice. This keeps the energy high. Storyblocks.com also has a library of music tracks.
- You put a call to action at the end of the video, where you tell people to contact you and put up contact info on the screen.
Eliminating the shooting of live footage keeps the cost down, and also means you and the video production company do not have to be in the same city, or even in the same country. It also means the company owner or executives are not tied up themselves with a lot of time put into the production.
Here are some examples of videos produced this way:
